Review on epiduo gel

BACKGROUND AND EFFECTS OF EPIDUO GEL:

For those of you who don't know, epiduo gel is basically a cream/gel that works to fight against acne and spots on your face, it can also aid in diminishing acne scars, which was the purpose of myself using it.  I've been using the gel for about 4 months now, so not too long, however, in just these couple of months, I have found it to do wonders for my skin.  Now, to be honest, I didn't have extremely bad skin to start off with, it was more that every time I would get a spot, it would leave a dark mark on my face and I was just sick of it and went to see my GP about it, who prescribed me this gel- and yes, it is prescribed, so you will have to see your doctor about it first.  To get information about the chemicals in it and how it works, you can just visit the website by typing epiduo gel into google :)  In terms of effects, there weren't too many.  The only negative effects I got as a result of using epiduo gel were itchy skin and dry skin.  For the itchy skin, it was only an instant reaction after a couple of minutes of putting on the epiduo gel and it actually does last a whole night and can make it difficult to fall asleep.  Also, there is some burning along with the itching and as much as that sounds horrible, for me personally, it wasn't too intense, however keep in mind, that it may vary from person to person.  As for the dry skin, once again it wasn't extreme or anything, I just got dry bits of my face in places such as my cheeks and between my eyebrows.  My skin didn't flake at all, just a bit of dryness, however I know that this gel is known to dry the skin out quite a bit.  It's also really important when using this product to be aware of cleansers and moisturisers that you use.  Make sure they are not too harsh, and preferably fragrance free, or it may irritate your skin.  I use cetaphil as my cleanser and moisturiser as they are very mild, but yet very moisturising for the skin and I highly recommend using it.

RESULTS:

I definitely didn't get instant results, however, having said that, it was still very quick to respond.  Within just a couple of weeks of using the gel, my skin started to clear up dramatically.  I started off only applying it to my acne scars and nowhere else on my face, but once I found that my skin was reacting well to it, I started putting it on parts of my face where I had a few bumps and spots, like my chin area.  My skin is now at a really good place, thanks to epiduo gel, even though the marks haven't gone completely, they have definitely faded over the 4 months and I can't wait to see what my skin will be like by the end of the year : D

Top 5 Summer fashion pieces

Now, I know I just posted a piece on winter fashion, as it is winter in Australia.  However, since the sun seems to be shining in most parts of the world, I decided to talk about staple summer fashion pieces.  This is simply my opinion and what I like to wear in the summer, obviously, it will vary from person to person, but all said and done, I hope all of you enjoy :)  Let's get started!

1. Floral dresses:

Floral dresses or even just floral tops are a must for summer!  They are girly and flirty and can either be worn casually or even formally, with the right accessories, such as a fancy belt or even classier pieces of jewelry to contrast with the casual look of the floral.  A floral dress, however, is perfect to just throw on before running out the door to meet your friends, no accessories are needed if you are going for a casual look- the floral pattern speaks for itself :)

2. Maxi dresses:

Maxi dresses are definitely a top favourite for me in the summer.  They're easy to wear and require almost no effort (saves us shaving those legs girls hahaha)!  I think any girl can pull off the maxi dress, and I know some girls don't feel like they look good in it, but let me tell you now that that is FALSE.  If you feel like the maxi dress you own, doesn't give your body any shape, then remember to belt it at the waist, this helps to show off those curves and can add dimension to a plain maxi dress.  My personal favourite maxi dresses in the summer, are floral ones, I find them to be so tropical and flattering on all girls.

3. Plain v-neck tees:

Plain tees are essential for summer!!  And guess what girls??  They're super affordable and adorable- does it get any better? ;)  Wearing a plain v-neck tee means that we can accessorise as much as we want, because there isn't much going on with our actual clothes.  This is the time to bring out the bling lovelies!

4. Gladiator shoes:

Gladiator shoes are so comfy and are super cute.  Whether your outfit is simple or a little fancy, it can add a very tribal look to your outfit.  They are very versatile, which makes it super easy to match it to an outfit.  I love to just slip them on with a pari of jeans and a cute floral shirt- it's very cute, you guys should try it :)

5. Sunhats:

Now, I personally like the sunhats shown in the image below, however, if you prefer floppy sunhats, then go ahead and rock them!  Sunhats, are not only fashionable and cover up bad hair days...but also protect your face from those harsh sun rays in the summer.  So, there is a way to stay healthy and look cute at the same time- win-win :D

Winter florals

As the cold winds blow, some of us tend to feel less fashionable, and instead of layering clothes, we pile it on. Layering is a vital key when achieving a warm, practical, but yet chic and sophisticated look.  Who says you cant wear dresses and tanks in the winter?  It may seem impractical, however, with a jacket or cardigan on top and with some tights and a pair of boots, one can look just as cute in a dress in winter as in the summer time- as seasons change so should our ways of styling.  Below, is a dress styled and worn in the summer contrasted with a dress styled in the fall or winter.  And yes, many people tend to be skeptical about wearing floral in the colder months, however, as it is always said, there are no rules in fashion, whether it be winter, summer or spring, a floral dress, with the right accessories and clothing pieces can be successfully pulled off. Personally, if I was to wear a floral dress with a lot of colour going on, in the winter, I would pair it with a dull coloured cardigan or jacket to tone the colours down a little.  A dark grey or black outerwear would do perfectly, like a blazer of some sort, as styled below.

Hope you guys enjoyed!!  Don't be afraid to rock the florals ALL year around ;) xox
